Responsible for material selection, injection molding design, and process development for solar eBOS products. The role bridges product design and manufacturing to ensure the reliability and cost-effectiveness of molded components for outdoor PV applications.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Plastics, or Polymer Engineering with 3-5+ years of experience in injection molding and tooling design. Must have a strong understanding of engineered thermoplastics, UL standards, and mold design principles.
The Injection Mold Design Engineer is responsible for material selection, injection molding design, tooling feasibility, process development support, and molded-product reliability for Premier PV’s solar eBOS products. This role supports overmolded assemblies, inline fuse products, harness components, connectors, strain reliefs, molded housings, and related eBOS product families.
This position bridges product design, polymer/material science, tooling design, manufacturing process control, supplier qualification, and testing. The role supports Premier PV to develop safe, reliable, manufacturable, cost-effective, and certifiable molded products for outdoor PV applications.
