The Pharmacy Technician supports inpatient pharmacy operations by preparing and delivering medications while managing inventory and automated systems. They also collaborate with clinical teams to ensure accurate medication distribution and maintain regulatory compliance within the hospital.
Candidates must hold a High School Diploma or GED and be a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through the PTCB or NHA. Additionally, an active registration with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy is required upon hire.

The Pharmacy Technician – Operating Room, Evenings supports one of Cleveland Clinic's highest-volume inpatient pharmacy operations at Main Campus, with a primary focus on serving the operating room while collaborating across multiple inpatient service lines, including oncology, sterile products, pediatrics, and general inpatient care. Caregivers receive comprehensive training and support daily pharmacy operations through medication preparation and distribution, medication deliveries throughout Main Campus, automated carousel operations, phone triage, and management of MAR messaging to assist inpatient care teams. This active role requires frequent travel throughout the hospital and offers extensive cross-training opportunities. Upon successful completion of training and demonstrated competencies, caregivers may have the opportunity to transfer into one of several specialized pharmacy areas, including IV services, ambulatory pharmacy, specialty pharmacy, and home care, based on departmental needs.
