The Interventional Radiographer performs various imaging procedures and ensures patient safety protocols are followed. They operate angiographic equipment and assist physicians during interventional radiology procedures.
Candidates must have a high school diploma, graduate from an AMA approved Radiologic Technology school, and hold a New York State license. Current BCLS certification is required, and angiography experience is preferred.
Under the direction of the Vascular Center Coordinator, the Interventional Radiographer performs a variety of imaging procedures and is responsible for patient safety protocols. Functions as the first line interface with patients in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs. Participates in CQI activities.
