The Supply Chain Buyer is responsible for maintaining optimal inventory levels and fill rates while managing communications with vendors and branches. They will create purchase orders, monitor vendor performance, and coordinate returns to ensure efficient distribution center operations.
Candidates should have 2-3 years of purchasing or inventory management experience and an undergraduate degree is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to run SQL queries are required for this role.

Location: Smyrna, GA (Near Battery Center)
Work Hours: Mon-Fri

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Education and/or Experience:
Undergraduate degree preferred. 2-3 years of Purchasing (Inventory Management) experience
Computer Skills: must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel and must be able to run SQL queries
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to document business processes and procedures. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Organizational Skills:
Must be detail oriented and exceptional in organization techniques. Must be self-motivated, with ability to set and achieve goals, and set priorities of multiple tasks in order to meet deadlines.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and make sound business process decisions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
