The cashier is responsible for providing fast and friendly checkout services while accurately handling payments and scanning products. They also maintain a clean work environment, restock supplies, and assist customers with store inquiries.
Candidates must possess good customer service skills and the ability to perform basic math, including addition and subtraction. The role requires physical stamina to stand for long periods and the ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
Duties:
-Provides fast and friendly check out services for customers.
-Assists customers with questions about store
-Scans and/or weighs products during the checkout process
-Handles cash and other forms of payment properly
-Maintains a neat and clean work area
-Restocks register supplies
-Performs “go-backs” of returned or abandoned merchandise
-Bags groceries when necessary or assists Courtesy Clerk in doing so
-Other duties as assigned
Abilities:
Good customer service skills. Able to read, write and perform basic math problems (counting, addition, subtraction).
Physical Requirements: Able to lift 25 lbs, work includes standing, reaching, twisting, bending, stooping, squatting and kneeling.
