Are you passionate about serving your community and helping others? We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Dispatch Officer to join our team. This role goes beyond traditional enforcement; it is about building positive relationships with the public, promoting fair parking practices, and ensuring our community remains accessible for everyone.
The mission of the Allentown Parking Authority is to operate, monitor, and maintain convenient and accessible parking facilities and on-street parking opportunities within the City of Allentown. The Allentown Parking Authority works to balance the parking needs of residents, employees, business and property owners, and visitors while enforcing parking ordinances and providing appropriate access to parking.
The Dispatch Officer is an Essential Employee who performs a variety of duties to enforce various parking ordinances. This position is responsible for coordinating and dispatching officers to enforce parking regulations, assist with public inquiries, and ensure efficient operations. The Dispatch Officer reports directly to the Manager/Supervisor of the Enforcement Department.

When Parking is the Question, the Authority is the Answer.
The Allentown Parking Authority manages, supervises and administers an efficient system of both on-street and off-street parking within the City. The ownership and operation of seven parking garages downtown comprises a large portion of our off-street operation. These seven garages total approximately 3,917 parking spaces. In addition, the Authority operates and/or leases 25 surface lots, totaling another 1,011 parking spaces.
