Description:
The Training Instructor Level 2 is responsible for gathering business requirements for existing data warehouse processes and applications in production by interviewing technical experts and subject matter experts (SMEs). This role involves scheduling walkthroughs and business reviews to validate requirements, identifying and documenting metadata usage and data lineage, and mapping business process flows using Visio. The Training Instructor Level 2 provides outstanding service to all customers and exercises judgment in guiding less experienced team members. This individual leverages their business knowledge and principles along with technical knowledge of applications to conduct root cause analysis and document findings to drive defect resolution. This role will assist in developing and delivering training programs for federal IT systems and applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Gather business requirements for existing data warehouse processes and applications in production through interviews with technical experts and SMEs.
Schedule and conduct walkthroughs and business reviews to validate requirements.
Identify, validate, and document metadata usage and data lineage.
Map business process flows using Visio and recommend appropriate solutions based on research.
Exercise judgment in guiding and advising less experienced team members within their assigned applications.
Provide outstanding service to all customers, ensuring their needs are met effectively and efficiently.
Leverage business knowledge and principles along with technical knowledge of applications.
Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues and document findings to drive defect resolution.
Assist the Training Lead in developing and delivering engaging and accessible training programs and materials for federal IT systems and applications.
Participate in ongoing training sessions and provide feedback for program improvements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Information Technology, Business) preferred.
Four years of work experience in this or related field.
Proven experience in a similar role, with a focus on data warehouse processes and business requirements gathering.
Strong business knowledge and principles.
Proficiency in using Visio for process mapping.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and provide guidance to less experienced team members.
Commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with metadata management and data lineage documentation.
Knowledge of root cause analysis techniques.
Experience in developing and delivering training programs for federal clients, preferably CMS.
Experience in Medicare and/or Medicaid fraud, waste and abuse or program integrity work.
This position is eligible for the benefits applicable to full-time regular employees, such as: vacation, sick leave, paid holidays, health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, short- and long-term disability, life insurance, employee assistance plan, 401(K) retirement plan, and educational benefits.
U.S. remote annual salary range: $55,000-$85,000/annual
For candidates in jurisdictions requiring range disclosure, this is the good-faith range for this role; final pay may vary by work location and job-related factors such as skills, experience, location, and internal equity. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
