The dispatcher is responsible for monitoring the fleet and coordinating daily activities between drivers and customers. Key duties include managing satellite communications, documenting reports, and resolving operational issues to ensure service excellence.
The ideal candidate should have a background in Supply Chain Management or Business and experience in dispatch or customer service. Strong communication skills and knowledge of Calgary geography are considered significant assets.
As a City Dispatcher, you will execute the day to day activity of your assigned region. This includes monitoring of the fleet, accurately distributing, receiving and updating information. Identifying and participating in the resolution of issues relating to day to day driver activities is an essential responsibility of this role. You must be well organized, an excellent communicator and have a keen sense of timeliness in carrying out daily activities.
Dispatch experience is considered to be a strong asset in this role.
Educational background in Supply Chain Management (or other relevant area such as Business).
Dedicated experience providing customer service in a similar work environment.
Well organized, an excellent communicator and have a keen sense of timeliness.
Demonstrated attention to detail, communication, problem solving and planning abilities.
Knowledge of the transportation industry and Calgary city geography are considered assets.
Able to quickly adapt to changes, shift focus, meet deadlines, and complete time-sensitive tasks.
