Your Team:

The Business Systems Specialist supports enhancements across commercial operations, customer experience, and digital platforms, with a focus on improving system performance, streamlining business processes, and enabling efficient day-to-day operations. Working collaboratively across the business, the role translates operational requirements into effective system and process solutions that support the continued growth of Flair Vacations.
A Day in the Life:
Lead structured requirements gathering through interviews, workshops, process walkthroughs, and data analysis with subject matter experts and end users.
Document business, functional, non-functional, and regulatory requirements using standardized tools and templates.
Ensure end-to-end traceability of requirements from intake through design, build, testing, and deployment.
Identify dependencies, constraints, risks, and assumptions early in the delivery lifecycle.
Support the development of business cases, problem statements, and solution recommendations.
Act as a key liaison between business stakeholders, Project Managers, technical teams, and third-party vendors throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Facilitate alignment between business teams, operational stakeholders, and technical delivery partners to support effective solution design and implementation.
Support backlog refinement, use case development, and acceptance criteria definition in agile or hybrid delivery environments.
Participate in system, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT), including validating test scenarios and supporting defect resolution.
Ensure delivered solutions align with approved requirements, business objectives, and operational needs.
Monitor and support business systems to ensure they remain functional, effective, and optimized.
Contribute to initiatives across the end-to-end travel lifecycle, including booking, modifications, cancellations, re-accommodation, ancillary services, and customer communications.
Ensure vendor-delivered solutions meet Flair Vacations’ requirements, standards, and expectations.
Work closely with external technology providers, system integrators, and SaaS vendors that support travel and reservation systems.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Bring to the Role:
The preferred candidate should exemplify Flair's core values: honesty, efficiency, accountability, and respect, while demonstrating success in previous roles. Additionally, we are seeking individuals who possess:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Management, or a related discipline.
Experience:
Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Specialist, or in a similar role supporting business systems, operations, or technology functions.
Demonstrated experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting requirements for complex, cross-functional initiatives.
Experience working with technical teams and external vendors to support the delivery of system enhancements and process improvements.
Experience in the travel, tour operations, airline, or cruise industries is preferred.
Familiarity with travel industry systems, including TTS / SoftVoyage and inventory management platforms, is required.
Experience working with booking, inventory, pricing, scheduling, ticketing, or passenger service platforms is required.
Experience supporting reservation, distribution, and fulfillment systems within real-time, high-availability environments is preferred.
Skills & Abilities:
Strong understanding of business analysis methodologies, tools, and best practices.
Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into practical system solutions.
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across technical and operational teams.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and support delivery across a range of initiatives and system enhancements.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
