You will be responsible for locating underground cable plants and utilities to support construction projects. Additionally, you will interpret system maps and report any mapping discrepancies to your supervisor.
Candidates must be able to lift 50 pounds and work in all weather conditions. The role requires a valid driver's license, the ability to work overtime, and availability for on-call weekend shifts.
You will be a part of our construction team bringing fiber technology to rural communities. You will assist the Construction Supervisor and site Foreman in execution of a construction project plan and additional tasks as needed. Locating underground cable plant and utilities in support of construction, rebuilds and existing upgrades. Marking located utilities according to set standards. You will be responsible for interpreting system maps (paper and electronic) to accurately locate underground facilities. Assisting in correcting system mapping information when discrepancies are discovered while performing locates by reporting the finds to supervisor.
