Candidates must have a high school diploma, a valid US driver's license, and demonstrated experience in custodial work. Proficiency in operating janitorial machinery and the ability to lift up to 65 pounds are required.

Performs general custodial/janitorial/cleaning work in all campus owned buildings and facilities; uses equipment and supplies as instructed and respectfully and maintains equipment in proper condition.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to use arms, hands and fingers to operate and manipulate equipment generally found in an office setting. The employee may be frequently required to be mobile, communicate, and hear. The employee may occasionally be subject to a variety of outdoor environmental conditions including heat, cold, and precipitation. The employee must be able to walk, stoop, climb, push, pull, bend, and perform duties in awkward positions while handling equipment and/or materials. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to sixty-five (65) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Mental demands include varied degrees of occasional stress while performing job duties.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works varied environmental conditions and locations including extreme temperatures and/or weather conditions. Exposure to dangerous machinery, fumes and contact with insulation, dust particles and asbestos, and danger of electrical shock may occur. Exposure to cleaning materials and chemicals exists. The noise level in the work environment will range from moderately quiet to frequently loud.
