The Overwatch team is looking for an accomplished Senior UI/UX Designer with several years of experience creating engaging and immersive user interfaces. The work will be at the core of our player experience, from the intro screen to the in-game HUD. Our ideal candidate will understand the project vision and create user experiences that will be both intuitive and stay true to the visual identity of the game. 

We will be asking you to work within our very collaborative team to create concepts and take them from a UX flow all the way to in-game UI. You will be working closely with other UI/UX designers, system & gameplay designers, engineers, VFX artists, and design/art Leads utilizing game engines to create awesome features for Overwatch. 

This role offers a flexible hybrid work week, with a mix of remote and on‑site days, based out of our Seoul studio. While hybrid is the standard arrangement, candidates may also choose to work on‑site full-time if preferred.

본 역할은 협업 중심의 개발 환경에서 UI/UX 컨셉을 만들고, UX 플로우 단계부터 실제 게임 내 UI 구현까지 이어지는 과정을 함께 담당합니다. UI/UX 디자이너, 시스템 및 게임플레이 디자이너, 엔지니어, VFX 아티스트, 디자인/아트 리드와 긴밀히 협업하며, 게임 엔진을 활용해 Overwatch에 어울리는 훌륭한 기능과 UI 경험을 만들어가게 됩니다.

본 포지션은 블리자드 코리아 스튜디오 소속이며, 재택과 사무실 근무를 병행하는 하이브리드 근무 형태를 기본으로 합니다. 희망하실 경우 상시 사무실 근무도 가능합니다.

Responsibilities 담당 업무

• Create concepts, flows, layouts, mock-ups and prototypes 

• Collaborate with artists, engineers, VFX teams, and designers to create, implement a polished and fluid interface, leading to great user experience 

• Design awesome game interfaces that complement and develop the Overwatch style 

• Work together with the team throughout the design process, gathering actionable feedback and iterating at the appropriate levels 

• Utilize game engines to develop and implement UI/UX designs effectively 

• Produce art assets for in-game lobbies, shop and events 

• UI/UX 컨셉, 사용자 흐름, 레이아웃, 목업 및 프로토타입 제작

• 게임 내 로비, 상점, 이벤트 등에 사용되는 UI 아트 에셋 제작  

Requirements 자격요건

• 8+ years of experience in UI/UX design, including some experience on AAA title(s) 

• Experience creating UI for multiple platforms – PC, consoles 

• Understanding of the distinctive Overwatch visual style and a drive to push it to the next level 

• Create and maintain UX wireframes and flows with Figma, XD, or other prototyping tools 

• Create polished visual designs using Adobe Creative Suite (eg. Photoshop, Illustrator) 

• Experience with front-end implementation (e.g., XAML, HTML5) 

• Able to communicate the UI/UX process effectively 

• Positive attitude and an ability to receive and provide objective feedback 

• Able to work creatively in a demanding team environment while helping others 

• Passion for playing and making games

• Photoshop, Illustrator 등 Adobe Creative Suite를 활용해 완성도 높은 비주얼 디자인을 제작할 수 있는 분
• XAML, HTML5 등 프론트엔드 구현 경험이 있으신 분
• UI/UX 디자인 프로세스를 효과적으로 설명하고 커뮤니케이션할 수 있는 분
• 긍정적인 태도로 객관적인 피드백을 주고받을 수 있는 분
• 높은 요구 수준의 팀 환경에서도 창의적으로 일하며, 동료를 지원할 수 있는 협업 역량을 갖추신 분
• 게임을 플레이하고 만드는 일에 대한 열정을 가지신 분
• 한국어와 영어로 원활하게 문서 및 구두 커뮤니케이션이 가능한 분

Pluses 우대사항

• Proficient in After Effects, Adobe Animate, or other motion graphic tools 

• Experience with game engines implementation 

• Shipped at least one AAA game as a UI/UX designer 

• Can apply an existing aesthetic to your layouts and prototypes 

• Experience in designing UI/UX for multiplayer games 

• Knowledgeable about online gameplay and first-person shooters
