Y.O.U. helps teens and young adults, ages 14-24 living in economically distressed communities succeed by providing educational and workforce opportunities, skills development, and access to career pathways. We offer school-based and community-based programs designed to meet the needs of Northeast Ohio employers, with a focus on those industry sectors that provide the most opportunities for career success. At Y.O.U., we are dedicated to excellence and continuous improvement of the quality of our services to youth, employers, and the community.
The Employer Partnerships Specialist (EPS) for LAUNCH is responsible for cultivating new and maintaining current partnerships with employers to develop and provide meaningful work experience opportunities for LAUNCH participants with the expectation that it will become a permanent hire. This EPS will partner directly with collaborative staff to embed Work Experience values into their programming and will facilitate all participant placement processes. The EPS will facilitate employer registration and worksite validation, for all LAUNCH work experiences and help support the unsubsidized placement of LAUNCH collaborative partners. The EPS also provides feedback to the Program Managers about the attitudes, abilities, and skills our employer partners are looking for in an entry level worker.

Y.O.U. programs work to ensure every young person is ready to pursue a path to economic self-sufficiency through mentoring, workforce preparation, career exploration, and work experiences that lead to that important first job and post-secondary education or training success. We serve teens and young adults (14-24) living in economically distressed communities. Our programs are developed in partnership with school districts, employers, nonprofits, and government entities.
