Who We Are
FTI Consulting is the leading global expert firm for organizations facing crisis and transformation. We work with many of the world’s top multinational corporations, law firms, banks and private equity firms on their most important issues to deliver impact that makes a difference. From resolving disputes, navigating crises, managing risk and optimizing performance, our teams respond rapidly to dynamic and complex situations.
At FTI Consulting, you’ll work side-by side with leaders who have shaped history, helping solve the biggest challenges making headlines today. From day one, you’ll be an integral part of a focused team where you can make a real impact. You’ll be surrounded by an open, collaborative culture that embraces diversity, recognition, professional development and, most importantly, you.
Are you ready to make your impact?
About The Role
As a Healthcare Consulting Graduate at FTI, you will be part of our Healthcare and Human Services practice.
Our team helps public, not-for-profit and private healthcare and human services organisations respond to their most important challenges and opportunities. This includes supporting health services, government agencies, aged care, disability, community services and other human services organisations to improve performance, strengthen service delivery, design better operating models and deliver better outcomes for the communities they serve.
You will have the opportunity to contribute to projects that influence real-world decisions across the health and human services sector – from service reviews and strategy development through to performance improvement, stakeholder engagement, operating model design and implementation support.
What You’ll Do
As a member of our team, you’ll work alongside experienced healthcare and human services consultants to help clients solve complex problems, make better decisions and improve outcomes for patients, consumers, staff and communities. No two days are the same, but day-to-day may include:
Supporting reviews of health and human services programs, services, teams and operating models.
Analysing data and evidence to understand demand, activity, performance, workforce, financial and service delivery trends.
Conducting desktop research, benchmarking and policy analysis to identify leading practice and improvement opportunities.
Preparing materials for client meetings, workshops, interviews and stakeholder consultations.
Capturing and synthesising stakeholder feedback from consultations with executives, clinicians, operational leaders, frontline staff, consumers and sector partners.
Developing clear, practical insights and recommendations to help clients improve how services are planned, delivered, governed and measured.
Assisting with the preparation of reports, presentations, business cases, implementation plans and other client deliverables.
Supporting project management activities, including planning, tracking actions, managing risks and coordinating inputs across the project team.
Working closely with clients and FTI colleagues to deliver practical, evidence-based solutions in a fast-paced consulting environment.
How You’ll Grow
Assigned a buddy and a coach to ensure a smooth transition to working life.
On-the-job training and coaching.
The chance to work onsite with clients and stakeholders.
The opportunity to participate in business development and marketing activities.
You will be part of our Graduate Development Program – a learning curriculum designed to meet your needs.
Benefit from personalised training and development opportunities that will allow you to enhance both your professional and personal skills. Be part of a learning culture where your growth is as important to us as the work we do.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
A Health, Business, Public Policy, Economics, Data Analytics, BA/BC Information Systems or related degree.
A strong interest in the health and human services sector, and a genuine desire to improve outcomes for people and communities.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to work with data, evidence and ambiguity.
Good lateral thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Strong written communication skills, with the ability to turn complex information into clear, practical messages.
Strong verbal communication and presentation skills, including confidence working with different stakeholders.
Empathy, professionalism and respect when working with clients, colleagues and stakeholders.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, Excel and Word, as well as AI tools.
Some work, internship, volunteering or relevant project experience would be beneficial.
This role may require travel to client and FTI offices.
Unrestricted working rights in Australia.
How to Apply
