The Nurse Practitioner provides direct patient care focusing on substance abuse and medication-assisted treatments, including Buprenorphine and Naltrexone. They coordinate healthcare services with a multidisciplinary behavioral health team and operate in community-based settings like mobile units.
Candidates must hold a NYS license as a Registered Professional Nurse and NP certification from NYSED, along with NYS Prescriptive Rights and a DATA 2000 'X' waiver. Eligibility for Medicaid and Medicare programs and a clean criminal background check are also required.
