The Robotics Engineer will design, model, fabricate, and integrate mechanical solutions for unmanned systems supporting Special Operations Forces. Position Summary: The Robotics Engineer supports the development, integration, testing, and fielding of advanced unmanned system capabilities for United States Special Operations Command. This position is responsible for designing, modeling, fabricating, integrating, and sustaining mechanical solutions that support flight operations, command and control systems, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance capabilities, and technology insertion initiatives. The engineer will work within an operationally focused engineering environment supporting rapid prototyping and mission-driven technology development efforts. The position directly contributes to the safe, suitable, and effective deployment of advanced capabilities to Special Operations Forces.
Physical Ability to:
Physical Demands and Work Environment: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk, listen, and write. The employee frequently is required to use foot/ankle motions, hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is required to stand, walk, sit; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
