Job Description
We are looking for Senior Systems Engineering Analysts to join the Headquarters (HQ) Systems Engineering (SE) Team. As a member of the HQ SE team, you will work on the Canadian Armed Forces’ Land Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance - Targeting (C5ISR-T) program. The C5ISR-T system provides the Armed Forces with a highly integrated tactical system comprised of communication systems such as radios and telephony, core networking systems that connect intelligence and surveillance assets, battle management systems that enable streamlined operations, and information management systems that process large amounts and types of data. The HQ SE team plays a key role in defining detailed design of the C5ISR-T “Headquarters” systems.
Based in either our Ottawa or Calgary facility, the ideal candidate would undertake a number of different initiatives, including (but not limited to) developing system requirements, modelling the system using MBSE techniques, and contextualizing the operational use cases of the system.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with the customer, the Department of National Defence (DND) to elicit and define System requirements and desired capabilities.
Develop activity, sequence, use case, and block definition diagrams to describe mission scenarios and use cases.
Develop system requirements, interface specifications, and end-to-end information flows.
Manage the traceability of higher-level requirements to lower-level requirements and to test artifacts.
Utilize Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) techniques to develop Operational and System Views according to DNDAF and UAF.
Support testing activities including verification and validation of requirements, reviewing test cases, and producing Verification Cross Reference Matrices (VCRMs).
Present status updates and conduct reviews with internal and external stakeholders.
Assume responsibility for deliverables and work products, and ensure you are meeting program commitments and achieving program milestones.

Experience developing cloud-based networks and infrastructure.

At General Dynamics Mission Systems, a business unit of General Dynamics, we develop mission critical C4ISR solutions across the land, sea, air, space and cyber domains, but that doesn’t tell our whole story.
When downed pilots are isolated in enemy territory, our equipment gives them a lifeline to call home. When a student opens a textbook to learn about the universe, they’re looking at data and pictures sent using our technology. When the government needs to share crucial top-secret information, our products help them keep this information out of the wrong hands. When sailors need to locate underwater mines, our technology allows them to find explosives with unmanned underwater vehicles.
Delivering C4ISR technology is what we do but we think why we do it is more important.
