The Fabrication Facility Foreman supervises daily operations in the welding and sheet metal shop, coordinating personnel to meet production schedules and quality standards. They are responsible for training staff, ensuring safety compliance, and interpreting complex structural blueprints for marine construction projects.
Candidates must have at least 8 years of experience in a fabrication shop and 2 years in a leadership role, with proficiency in various welding techniques like SMAW, FCAW, and GMAW. A high school diploma or GED is required, along with the ability to interpret NAVSEA-approved structural drawings and maintain safety protocols.

Summary of duties – The Fabrication Facility Foreman has a background in a metal fabrication/welding environment and has supervisory experience in a Welding Shop. They will supervise and coordinate activities of employees working in the sheet metal fabrication, welding, painting, and stock areas of the shop facility. The Fabrication Facility Foreman will be responsible for daily operation of Welding shop and assisting the Fabrication Facility Manager with all tasks. They must be able to interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders. They will establish and adjust work sequences to meet work completion schedules, analyze and resolve work problems and maintain and submit time records. They study schedules and estimate worker/hour requirements for job completion.

Our work is primarily onboard naval vessels that may include variables of physical activity, i.e. stooping, climbing, walking, etc.
