Requires a PhD in a relevant discipline or equivalent commercial experience with deep expertise in cryogenic systems or superconducting qubits. Must have a proven track record of leading technical teams and delivering complex research programmes.

The PurposeAs Head of Logical Systems, you'll lead the team responsible for bringing together the critical technologies that enable fault-tolerant quantum computing. Working at the intersection of quantum hardware, control systems and high-performance computing, you'll define the system architecture that underpins our next generation of scalable logical quantum computers while leading a high-performing multidisciplinary team.
The RoleReporting to the VP of Quantum Science & Exploratory Research, you will lead OQC's Logical Systems team, driving the integration of quantum error correction technologies into a unified logical computing stack. You'll work across engineering and research disciplines, shape technical strategy, oversee complex research programmes, and build the capabilities needed to realise large-scale fault-tolerant quantum computing.
