The Staff Pharmacist manages the preparation, labeling, and dispensing of medications while ensuring compliance with quality standards and safety protocols. They also supervise technical staff and provide direct patient care through medication monitoring and counseling.
Candidates must hold a Baccalaureate or PharmD degree from an accredited school of pharmacy and possess a valid state licensure. Proficiency in English and basic computer skills are required, along with the physical ability to stand for long periods.

This position description provides a general overview of the type of work performed by employees within this classification. Depending on the facility, job duties may vary. Staff Pharmacists report directly to the Pharmacist in Charge.
The Staff Pharmacist will have strong communication skills and be able to perform detailed work. Work is accomplished in accordance with the policies and regulations of local, state, and federal authorities as well as accepted standards of practice.

The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
