Perform basic maintenance, service, and repair on trailers, containers, and chassis to ensure equipment meets company standards. Responsibilities include conducting FHWA inspections and following shop safety procedures while completing work orders.
Requires at least 1 year of experience in semi-trailer maintenance or an equivalent combination of education and military experience. Candidates must be able to provide their own basic tools and be willing to work outdoors across multiple shifts.
Demonstrate basic knowledge of preventative maintenance and standard repairs related to trailer equipment, including air brake systems and FHWA inspections Accurately perform basic repairs up to company and manufacturer’s specifications, complete work orders and demonstrate understanding of company requirements for standard repair times (SRT) and warranty guidelines
Understand and effectively follow all shop safety procedures
Maintain professional communication with J.B. Hunt personnel and customers
Shift Schedule: Shifts may vary based upon location and business needs.

The expected starting pay range for this position is between $24.12 - $34.39

Applicants can be considered for I, II, or Sr. Level Trailer Technician depending on verified years of experience and position availability.
Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company’s bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
The Company offers the following benefits for full-time positions, subject to applicable eligibility requirements, as may be in effect from time to time: medical benefit, dental benefit, vision benefit, 401(k) retirement plan, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability coverage, paid time off commensurate with tenure (includes vacation and sick time), six weeks of paid maternity leave along with two weeks of paid parental leave, and six paid holidays annually.
