Responsibilities
The Equipment Operator is responsible for safely operating various machinery such as track loaders, excavators, and grinders to clear forest materials and manufacture landscape products. They must also perform daily equipment inspections, maintenance, and complete all necessary operational paperwork.
Requirements
Candidates must have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and the physical ability to lift 50lbs and work in various weather conditions. The role requires the ability to work up to 60 hours per week, including Saturdays, and adherence to all safety and PPE protocols.

About the Position
Job Brief
We are looking for an experienced Equipment Operator to join our growing team. You will be ultimately responsible for operating a variety of equipment types to clear and grind trees, limb, and other natural forest materials; as well as equipment used to manufacture mulches and soils.
An equipment operator may be assigned to operate a track loader, wheel loader, excavator, or grinder. We expect equipment operators to operate our equipment in a safe and professional manner and to maintain a professional demeaner when engaging with customers and coworkers.
A successful candidate for this position will ensure that work is completed safely, on schedule and as directed. Key Responsibilities
Perform pre/post service inspections on equipment. Safely and efficiently operate equipment as directed while on job locations or in company yards. Complete daily service on equipment to include cleaning radiator/filters, cleaning equipment cab interior. Complete all necessary paperwork and submit daily (inspections reports, work orders, loader logs, etc.) Report all accidents and injuries, regardless of severity. Follow all standard operating procedures and processes. Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) is required to be worn at all times (safety toe shoes/boots, vest, hard hat, & gloves). Other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned
Ability to work +/- 60 hours per week to include Saturdays with overtime (hours not guaranteed) Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record, if applicable. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. Must be able to sit, stand, and kneel for long periods of time and walk for short periods. Must be able to climb into and out of equipment several times per day using 3 points of contact. Must be able to use hand and arms to steer and to operate finger controls and adjust controls as needed inside and outside of equipment. Must be able to bend, stoop, and crawl to perform full inspection of the equipment and clean equipment. Must be able to work outside for periods of time in all weather. Must be able to see and hear proficiently to operate a motor vehicle and equipment in a safe manner. Must be able to frequently use arms overhead for multiple job functions to include cleaning equipment and tossing ropes or tie down straps using an overhead motion. Must be able to pull a rope with up to 40lbs of resistance using arms only. Must be able to work in a dusty environment (tolerate various types of work dust). Must perform “look around” and be able to twist the upper body to look far right/left and behind when moving equipment (check for blind spots)
