The Supplier Quality Engineer maintains engineering documentation to ensure compliance with IATF 16949 standards and manages supplier quality deliverables. They are responsible for validating PPAP submissions, monitoring assembly operations, and troubleshooting internal quality issues to prevent production interruptions.
Candidates must possess a degree in Engineering or equivalent experience, with three to five years of quality assurance experience in the automotive industry. Proficiency in IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and statistical quality control is required, with professional certifications preferred.
Process
Basic Function: The Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for maintaining plant specific engineering documentation and records to ensure compliance with IATF 16949 standards and the delivery of product to the Customer which meets specifications.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Reporting Relationship:
Reports to the Quality Manager.
Education Required:
Degree in Engineering or equivalent quality related experience and/ or training; equivalent combination of education and experience.
ASQ CQM/CQE/CQT certification preferred.
Experience Required:
Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in Quality Assurance with emphasis on supplying the automotive industry.
Familiar with IATF 16949 & ISO 9001, BOS Standards
Statistical Quality Control knowledge a plus.
