The DMSE supervises the scheduling and coordination of clinical rotations for LUCOM medical students. They develop and implement educational strategies to support Centra's mission and ensure student retention as long-term employees.
Candidates must hold an M.D. or D.O. degree with at least 5 years of experience in medical education and strong administration skills.
The DMSE is the Centra education leader who supervises the scheduling and coordination of clinical rotations for LUCOM medical students at Centra and in the Central Virginia region. The DMSE works closely with LUCOM leadership to ensure medical students receive great clinical experiences. The DMSE also communicates, develops, and implements educational strategies- in collaboration with both internal and external partners- to support Centra’s mission, vision, values, and strategic plans, ensuring a measurable retention of Centra trained students as long-term employees for Centra.
