Summary of Job
The Senior Operator leads production crews in efficiently operating the company’s production equipment. They ensure all components are in place for each job, achieve quality print results, and manage in line finishing tasks with minimal supervision. The role includes operating and troubleshooting various line equipment, performing minor mechanical repairs, and maintaining high standards for productivity, waste reduction, and quality. The Senior Operator fosters a learning environment, supports continuous improvement, and ensures safety and cleanliness on the job. The position requires 5–7 years of relevant experience and strong leadership and technical skills.
Under the direction of VP Manufacturing and or Dept Supervisor oversees hourly employees to ensure the production of the highest quality products at the lowest possible cost, while meeting company standards for quality and performance, customer specifications and delivery requirements, in accordance with Pregis policies and procedures.
Overview: Must have the technical ability to operate all types of full converting line and finishing equipment within Pregis standards for waste, quality, and productivity. Understands and adheres to all Standard Operating Procedures. Set up and operate all special functions and capabilities with minimal supervision or direction. Train other employees when requested or required to do so. Analyze issues, determine, and implement solutions. Provide innovative / creative solutions for opportunities and or improvements.
