The Milieu Specialist is responsible for therapeutic milieu management, including program philosophy and environmental oversight. They are also tasked with training Mental Health Technicians (MHTs) and monitoring hospital unit operations.
Candidates must have an associate or bachelor's degree in psychology or social sciences and five years of professional experience in a mental health hospital. Required certifications include BLS/CPR and CPI instructor certification (or the ability to obtain it within 5 months).

A growing, 144-bed behavioral health facility – Metropolitan Behavioral Health Hospital provides a full continuum of inpatient services across the entire patient population, including specialty programs to serve adolescents, adults, and older adults, and perform behavioral health assessments 24 hours a day. Additionally, programs for co-occurring behavioral health and substance use issues are offered to meet the unique needs of this patient population. The facility provides a robust outpatient program utilizing a combination of group, family, and individual therapy.

Position Summary
The Milieu Specialist provides therapeutic milieu management, training of MHTs, and monitoring of the hospital units. Milieu management includes program content and philosophy, patient management training, environmental management, and staff competency. We are adding to our staff with additional Specialists.
