Our customer base includes Air Canada, WestJet, Canadian Coast Guard, Purolator, Petro Canada, Home Hardware, Alaska Airlines and a broad base of government entities such as the Federal Government of Canada.
Job Summary:The Material Handler is responsible for picking and putting away product
Day Shift: 7:00am-3:30pm, Monday-Friday
Duties and Responsibilities
Picking order items using the Order Picker, Raymond Reach or Walkie truck; IEQ’s, PO’s, CO’s and BOM’s.
Bring picked totes or skids to correct department or location
Receiving order items; using RF scanner, scan items to determine product location and place item into stock using the forklift
Reprinting product labels when needed
Accurately transferring of stock items physically and in the system to create additional warehouse space
Stacking skids when new shipments come in
Complete forklift safety check inspection before operating
Complete cycle counts as requested
General warehousing; cleaning around the facility
Other duties as assigned
Experience and Education
Valid forklift certification
1-2 years of forklift experience (Order Picker, Raymond Reach, Walkie)
1 year of shipping and receiving experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
General warehouse knowledge
Knowledge of WMS systems
Knowledge of hand scanners
Communication, ability to speak clearly in English
Basic computer literacy
Operating equipment (RF Scanners, Pump Truck, Dollies and Machine Wrapper for Skids)
Attention to Detail and accuracy for data entry.
Ability to do basic mathematics
Ability to work as a team, and independently with minimal supervision
Problem Solving
Time management, ability to perform multiple tasks to deliver simultaneously
Ability to follow safety regulations
Working Conditions, Physical Effort and Environment
Ability to lift 50lbs
Standing/Walking for 8 hours
