The role involves serving as a Yard Jockey and backup driver, performing drop-and-hook trailer maneuvers and making deliveries. Responsibilities include loading/unloading materials and assisting in warehouse operations as needed.
Candidates must possess a valid CDL-A license, an acceptable driving record, and the ability to lift at least 50 lbs. Knowledge of DOT rules and experience with lift trucks is required.
CDL Drivers at Famous Supply primarily make deliveries from Famous Distribution Centers to Famous Branches. Each morning, the driver’s route for the day is uploaded onto a company-provided Smartphone that provides turn by turn navigation and delivery details.
Candidate must have verifiable Class A driving experience, have an acceptable driving record, and understanding of DOT rules and regulations. Drivers will operate lift trucks, hand trucks and other equipment while loading and unloading trucks. Driver associates assist in the warehouse when needed.
Note: Famous Supply Drivers will handle large products such as water heaters, furnaces and showers.
