Job Description

As a Job Placement Consultant, you’ll assist our team of rehabilitation consultants to support people facing health challenges find new employment opportunities and support them in returning to meaningful & sustainable work! This role can be based from our Gold Coast or Ballina offices, with flexible work arrangements available after your induction. This position will service a caseload primarily based in the Gold Coast and Northern Rivers area, but you will also support the wider Queensland team.

Some of your day to day includes:

  • Work collaboratively with injured workers, potential employers, and your internal team of allied health professionals to provide safe, sustainable opportunities for workers to re-enter the workforce;
  • Assist our team of rehabilitation consultants to source and arrange host placements for Workcover Queensland claimants;
  • Contribute to injured workers ability to achieve return to work goals through job skills development, confidence building and promoting independence;
  • Apply and deliver customer service in employment services and job placement;
  • Empower clients to effectively present their skills and abilities when seeking employment;
  • Build strong relationships with local employers and organisations across Queensland/Northern NSW, which in turn provides opportunities for swift re-engagement into employment for our clients;
  • Complete written progress and various other reports on a regular basis.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in Occupational Rehabilitation or Employment services, as well as customer service skills are highly regarded;
  • Strong resume and cover letter writing skills are required;
  • A passion for assisting people to gain employment;
  • The ability to grow our services and build strong relationships with key customers;
  • Current driver license and motor vehicle;

Current rehabilitation counselling and psychology students are also encouraged to apply.
