About the Role

As IR/ER Advisor, you will partner with People Representatives, Leaders and key stakeholders to provide IR/ER advice, manage workplace relations risks, and to ensure fair, consistent and compliant people practices that support business success.

Responsibilities 

• Partner with Leaders, People Representatives and Injury Management Representatives to provide strategic IR/ER advice across organisational change, performance, grievances, investigations, terminations and medical separations.
• Manage workplace relations risks, ensuring compliance with legislation, industrial instruments and company policies and procedures.
• Design and deliver training to build IR/ER capability and support consistent, compliant decision-making.
• Manage union engagement, Right of Entry administration, and support enterprise bargaining activities.
• Monitor legislative changes, case law and regulatory requirements and provide practical guidance to stakeholders.
• Develop and continuously improve IR/ER policies, frameworks and governance processes.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records.

What You’ll Bring 

• HR experience with strength in employee relations, workplace investigations, case management, organisational change and terminations. 
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce clear, concise and well-structured materials.
• Ability to manage sensitive matters with professionalism, discretion and confidentiality.
• A keen interest in developing career in IR/ER.
• Tertiary qualification in HR or related discipline.
• Experience in mining or similar industry with a medium to large employer.
• Engagement, influencing and negotiation skills.
• Attention to detail and sound judgement.
• Proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to work autonomously.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
