The Building Assistant provides customer service to residents and coordinates communication between residents and management. They are also responsible for cleaning common areas, performing basic maintenance tasks, and ensuring property security and curb appeal.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of experience in customer service, sales, or marketing. Strong communication, organizational, and mathematical skills are required, with previous janitorial experience considered a plus.
Guardian has a need for a Part-Time Building Assistant to join our team at Discovery View and Marine Plaza!
Discovery View & Marine Plaza are two affordable (LIHTC/HUD/RD) apartment communities in Port Townsend, WA with a combined 88-units.
The Building Assistant will provide outstanding customer service to the residents, coordinating communication between departments and between residents and Community Manager, serve as a contact person for residents’ family members or legal representative, and assist with facilities/maintenance tasks during off-peak times. The Building Assistant will clean facility common areas and residential apartments as needed at turnover and other areas as needed by Community Managers.
The Building Assistant will support the Community Manager’s efforts to ensure that the properties meet all ownership goals and objectives, to enforce Guardian Management policies and procedures, and to adhere to Fair Housing and Landlord Tenant Laws at all times.
We are willing to train the right individual, so this is an excellent entry level opportunity for individuals interested in a career in property maintenance.
Schedule: 16 hours / week, hours vary.
Compensation: $19.00/hr + bonus potential!
Benefits: 1 hour of State Paid Sick Time for every 30 hours worked, and Employee Assistance Program.
