The pharmacy technician is responsible for medication delivery, inventory management, and facilitating patient care through the pharmacy computer system. They also perform medication labeling, maintain pharmacy records, and assist in the training of new personnel.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and be registered as a pharmacy technician trainee, technician, or intern with the Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy. Certification from the PTCB or NHA is required within two years of employment.
Work is typically performed in a clinical environment. Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures.
