The Maintenance Assistant supports the upkeep of facilities and equipment through routine maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs. They are responsible for troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues while maintaining accurate records of work orders.
Candidates must have a high school diploma and practical knowledge of maintenance, health and safety, and fire regulations. Physical ability to perform manual labor and proficiency in HRIS and timekeeping software are also required.

The Maintenance Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the upkeep and smooth operation of facilities and equipment within an organization. This position involves assisting with routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting minor issues, and ensuring that all systems function efficiently to minimize downtime. The Maintenance Assistant works closely with the maintenance team to perform inspections, carry out repairs, and maintain a safe and clean working environment. By proactively identifying potential problems and responding promptly, this role helps extend the lifespan of equipment and infrastructure. Ultimately, the Maintenance Assistant contributes to the overall productivity and safety of the workplace by ensuring that maintenance operations are executed effectively and on schedule.

An understanding of planned and preventative maintenance schedules
