Position Summary
The Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) serves as a member of the Executive Leadership Team and is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive people strategy that aligns with the organization's mission, vision, values, and strategic objectives. As the senior leader responsible for all Human Resources functions, the CHRO provides executive oversight of talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation and benefits, leadership development, succession planning, organizational development, employee engagement, culture, performance management, compliance, HR operations, and workforce planning. Serving as a strategic advisor to the CEO, Executive Leadership Team, and Board of Directors, the CHRO provides guidance on organizational effectiveness, leadership capability, workforce risks, change management, and long-term talent strategy. This role champions a culture of accountability, engagement, inclusion, and continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations and fostering a high-performing, mission-driven workforce.
Essential Functions:
Serve as a strategic advisor to the Chief Executive Officer, Executive Leadership Team, and Board of Directors on all matters related to human capital, organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, culture, and organizational performance.
Develop and execute a comprehensive people strategy that aligns workforce capabilities, organizational structure, leadership development, and talent initiatives with the organization's mission, vision, values, and strategic objectives.
Provide executive leadership and oversight of all Human Resources functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation, benefits, performance management, compliance, learning and development, HR operations, and workforce analytics.
Lead organizational development, succession planning, and leadership development initiatives to ensure a strong leadership pipeline, leadership effectiveness, and long-term organizational sustainability.
Champion a high-performance culture by fostering employee engagement, accountability, inclusion, collaboration, employee well-being, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, policies, and reporting requirements while proactively identifying and mitigating organizational risk.
Partner with executive and operational leaders to design, implement, and support organizational change initiatives, workforce transformations, and strategic growth efforts.
Oversee the development and administration of compensation, benefits, and total rewards programs that support organizational goals, employee well-being, market competitiveness, talent retention, and pay equity.
Establish and leverage workforce metrics, analytics, and reporting to drive informed decision-making, measure organizational effectiveness, and evaluate the impact of human capital strategies.
Direct the stewardship of Human Resources operations, technology platforms, budgets, vendor relationships, and external partnerships, including the organization's Professional Employer Organization (PEO), to ensure operational excellence, fiscal responsibility, and strategic value creation.
Hire, coach, develop and manage performance of all team members. Ensure AllThrive 365 values are adhered to and consistently demonstrated. Effectively manage budget and resources.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or a related field.
10+ years progressive Human Resources leadership experience.
5+ years of executive-level HR leadership experience.
Demonstrated experience leading all major Human Resources disciplines within a multi-department organization.
Extensive knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
Experience advising executive leadership teams and governing boards on human capital strategy.
Experience leading organizational change, workforce planning, and succession planning initiatives.
Experience managing HR budgets, HR technology platforms, and third-party vendors.
Experience working with a Professional Employer Organization (PEO) preferred.
Preferred Qualfiications:
Previous experience in healthcare, social services, human welfare, or other related industries.
SPHR, SHRM-SCP, or equivalent senior-level Human Resources certification.
Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field preferred.
