AHRC New York City is seeking Full and Part-Time Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for their Adult Day Programs in All Five Boroughs.
Pay rate: $18 per hour plus a very generous and comprehensive Benefit packet which includes Free Medical Insurance! Paid by Company at No Cost to you! See additional Benefit information below.
In addition, the following Bonuses are available depending on the Programs needs.
$2,000 upon completion and passing of AHRC Defensive Driving class

Support individuals with disabilities in leading self-directed lives and becoming active members of their communities.
The oversight of all safety and health considerations
Promoting skill development, interests, and hobbies
Assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs)
Qualifications
Personal and/or Professional experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
Knowledge of Home and Community Based Waiver, and the ability to keep up to date pertaining to such knowledge, and interpret same.
Understanding of Person Centered Planning.
Reasonable flexibility in work hours and ability to respond to the scheduling needs of the individual.
Ability to establish and maintain a working relationship with program participants, families, staff and community agencies.
Ability to communicate both orally and in written form in English.
High School diploma or GED is preferred.
