The Medical Assistant provides direct patient care and performs routine medical procedures according to clinical protocols. Key tasks include rooming patients, recording vital signs, collecting samples, and assisting physicians with examinations and treatments.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma and either a Medical Assistant Program diploma, one year of experience, military medic training, or paramedic training. A Medical Assistant Certification is preferred and offers additional compensation.

Purpose:
The Medical Assistant roles assist with direct patient care, and performs specialized medical procedures of a routine nature, as dictated by established clinical protocol. Assist medical and/or nursing staff in the examination and treatment of patients.
