The RN provides competent nursing care for patients with severe neurological conditions using the nursing process model. Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, planning, and implementation of care within a multidisciplinary team in the Neuroscience ICU.
Requires a Registered Nursing degree, a valid RN license, and BLS/ACLS certifications within 90 days of hire. A minimum of 1 year of experience in emergency, intermediate, intensive care, or med/surg is highly preferred.

Hours/Shift: Full Time (36 hr/week)
The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible to perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.
The Neuroscience Critical Care Unit is a specialized unit providing intensive care for patients with severe, life-threatening neurological conditions, such as strokes, brain hemorrhages, traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, tumors, and seizures. This unit uses a multidisciplinary team, advanced monitoring technology like continuous EEG monitoring, and intracranial pressure monitoring, and coordinated care to stabilize and support patients, leading to improved survival and functional outcomes. Candidates with critical care or a minimum of 1 year stepdown or med/surg experience will be considered.
