The Critical Care Transport Paramedic assists with urgent and critical care patient transports while collaborating with the transport nurse to plan and evaluate care. They are responsible for interpreting patient data, maintaining transport equipment, and facilitating communication between hospital departments and EMS.
Candidates must hold a high school diploma or GED and have completed a Paramedic program, along with three years of relevant experience. Required certifications include AHA-BLS, AHA-ACLS, and state paramedic licensure, with additional certifications like FP-C or CCP-C required within 18 months.

The Critical Care Transport Paramedic is responsible for assisting with urgent and critical care transports in a prompt and efficient manner to all patients. Responsible for assessing, planning, organizing, documenting, and evaluating patient care in conjunction with the critical care transport nurse. Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served on assigned unit.
