The manager will educate the global sales force and customers on medical products through training programs, symposiums, and field support. They are also responsible for developing training materials, assessing skill levels, and providing clinical feedback to resolve product issues.
Candidates must have at least six years of hands-on medical experience, including three years in clinical training, and hold a bachelor's degree. Preferred qualifications include experience as a Registered Nurse or Cardiovascular/Radiology Technician and a background in medical product sales.

1. Educates Merit’s global sales force (domestic and international) and various employees on Merit's products and their applications in the field through classes and sales meetings.
2. Trains and updates Merit’s worldwide dealers as new products are launched.
3. Presents Merit product information at new hire orientation classes.
4. Conducts assessment testing to ascertain the skill level and ability of those individuals being trained, and develop training curriculums and programs to improve knowledge, skill, and ability.
5. Defines protocol and assists in the field assessment of new product market research trials (MRT’s).
6. Develops and implements ongoing home-study training course to improve and maintain a high level of product and clinical expertise in the field sales organization.
7. Conducts ongoing staff training and provide clinical feedback to resolve customer related issues.
8. Writes and updates the sales training materials.
9. Standardize & computerize (digitalize) sales training materials.
10. Works with Product Managers to develop sales training and inservice videos.
11. Answers clinical questions from doctors, technicians, sales representatives, etc.
12. Supports sales and marketing efforts by inservicing key customers on Merit products.
13. Works in the field as need requires to support and train clinicians on the use of Merit products and to trouble shoot product related issues in the field.
14. Maintains “global” product support and promotional materials, such as catalogs, sales training binders, video training.
15. Writes technical papers to support new emerging markets, segments and niches.
16. Defines, coordinates and executes Symposiums and other clinical education events.
17. Develops value added CEU credits to augment sales effort.
18. Performs other duties and tasks as required.
