Perform specialized floor care projects and general cleaning and disinfection of hospital surfaces and rooms. Manage waste collection, operate compactors, and ensure all areas are stocked with necessary supplies.
Preferred high school diploma and one year of experience in housekeeping and project/floor care. DOT training completed through a hazardous waste vendor is preferred.
The EVS Associate II performs special floor project work throughout the facility, using different types of floor care equipment. The position includes all extraction techniques for carpet cleaning and other surfaces. They are responsible for completing all types of trash collection, and coordinating operations, including removing waste, operating compactor or other related equipment, and signing waste manifests. The EVS Associate II is trained in the functions of a EVS Associate I in order to assist with the cleaning of the hospital when required, and performs duties in other departments based on needs of the facility.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Clean and disinfect floors using hospital-specific equipment, including microfiber cloths, wet mops, etc.
Clean and sanitize surfaces, such as over-bed tables, counters, and furniture, toilets, urinals, sinks, showers, walls, floors, and mirrors.
Clean and sanitize vertical surfaces, such as walls, ceilings, and windows.
Ensure cleanliness of high dust surfaces, such as picture frames, vents, and doorframes.
Inspect rooms for proper cleaning, and report any safety or maintenance issues.
Remove trash and linen, clean receptacles, and ensure they are prepared for next use.
Restock paper, hand sanitizer and hand soap supplies.
