The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for preparing sterile compounds, managing medication inventory, and ensuring the accurate delivery of medications to nursing units. They must also maintain strict documentation, handle controlled substances securely, and perform unit inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent and a valid Pharmacy Technician License (IDFPR). Additionally, a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification through PTCB or NHA is required within six months of hire.
