The Development Engineer in Training will support the negotiation and administration of infill servicing agreements and review engineering drawings for compliance with municipal standards. They will also assist in managing infrastructure cost-sharing mechanisms and serve as a point of contact for land development inquiries.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering and be registered as an Engineer in Training (EIT) with APEGA. A valid Alberta Class 5 driver's licence is also required for the role.

Reporting to the Senior Development Engineer, you will play an integral role in supporting the development and servicing of new land and infill developments between the City of Edmonton and the private development industry. Working closely with Professional Engineers (P.Eng.), you will gain hands-on experience influencing many aspects of the land development process—from initial planning and engineering design reviews to financial cost-sharing mechanisms and contract administration.
