Job Summary
OSG is seeking a Mission Assurance Specialist to evaluate Mission Assurance Program implementation and assess critical asset identification processes at Army installations. This role reviews mission dependency analyses, evaluates risk management methodologies, assesses protection integration across installation functions, reviews continuity planning, and recommends improvements to mission resilience across Mission Assurance, Risk Management, Critical Infrastructure, and Resilience functional areas.
Specific Responsibilities
Evaluate Mission Assurance Program implementation.
Assess critical asset identification processes.
Review mission dependency analyses.
Evaluate risk management methodologies.
Assess protection integration across installation functions.
Review continuity planning.
Evaluate risk mitigation strategies.
Recommend improvements to mission resilience.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, Security Management, Engineering, Military Science, Emergency Management, or a related discipline. Additional military police, Federal law enforcement, or senior DoD experience may be substituted for education requirements where contractually permissible.
Army or DoD Mission Assurance Programs.
Installation Protection Program integration.
Operational Risk Management (ORM).
Mission Essential Function (MEF) analysis.
Critical infrastructure and asset assessments.
Organizational inspections and compliance evaluations.
Executive reporting and corrective action development.
Required Certifications: Active Secret Security Clearance; DoD Cyber Awareness Training; OPSEC Level I; Antiterrorism Level I Awareness; FEMA ICS 100, ICS 200, ICS 700, and ICS 800.
Clearance Level Required: Active Secret (Top Secret eligibility preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Certifications: Mission Assurance-related DoD or Army training/certification; Certified Protection Professional (CPP); Physical Security Professional (PSP); Project Management Professional (PMP); Lean Six Sigma Green Belt; Top Secret clearance or eligibility.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
Work is performed in both office and field environments, including on-site assessments at Army installations. Must be able to walk, stand, and stoop for extended periods while touring facilities and grounds, and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions during site assessments.
Travel
Extensive travel required (up to 75%) to conduct mission assurance assessments at Army installations across CONUS.
