The Assistant General Counsel provides legal guidance on employment, labor relations, and corporate governance while managing litigation and discovery processes. They also ensure compliance with federal and state laws and provide counsel on the administration of the Universal Service Fund.
Candidates must hold a Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school and be admitted to at least one state bar. Three to five years of experience in labor, employment, and litigation law is required, with telecommunications industry experience preferred.
USAC’s target compensation range for a new hire into this position is $115,000- $145,000 USD per year. Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors based on knowledge, skills, and experience, as evaluated throughout the interview process. In addition, this position may be eligible for an annual performance bonus. We are currently seeking an experienced, dynamic and collaborative professional to serve as an Assistant General Counsel for our Office of General Counsel who will deal with a multitude of in-house legal issues facing a large non-profit corporation, with an emphasis on employment law, litigation, and administrative regulatory law with experience in FCC regulations and telecommunications.
