Seeking qualified professionals to support Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Aviation safety is a collaborative government-industry initiative that integrates multiple safety databases to proactively detect hazards, monitor known risks, and evaluate safety mitigations across the National Airspace System.
Key Responsibilities
Provide End-to-End Meeting Planning and Logistics Coordination
Provide planning services for Safety Team, regional, national and international meetings, and safety conferences
Provide support required to arrange meeting location, prepare meeting site, and logistical support
Coordinate planning for, develop and disseminate content and publications for meetings and conferences
Analyze aviation operational, regulatory, and safety issues supporting safety in the NAS
Develop and evaluate recommendations to improve aviation safety and operational performance
Support policy development and the creation of standards, guidance, and technical documentation
Conduct data-driven analysis, technical studies, and research to support program objectives
Prepare technical reports, findings, and recommendations for Government and stakeholder use
Support development of briefings, position papers, and technical guidance to inform FAA and stakeholder decision-making
Collaborate with team members, FAA program offices, and industry stakeholders on analytical and operational initiatives
Applicant Preferences
Experience working with FAA Headquarters and supporting cross-organizational collaboration and executive-level communications
Applied technical expertise in aviation safety programs or aviation-related domains
Experience supporting development of technical studies, operational recommendations, or aviation guidance materials
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3 (three) years of direct aviation experience concerning flight operations
Experience as a pilot with a commercial or airline transport pilot rating (as appropriate) or experience as a certified air traffic controller.
U.S. Citizen or Green Card Permanent Resident (minimum 3+ years of U.S. residency) and Public Trust approval
