The Mortgage Loan Underwriter reviews and analyzes residential real estate loan products to make independent approval or denial decisions. They ensure all loans align with organizational strategy, industry guidelines, and secondary market saleability requirements.
Requires a bachelor's degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience, with at least one year of mortgage underwriting experience. Candidates must have one year of experience using Automated Underwriting Systems in a virtual environment.

The Mortgage Loan Underwriter reviews, analyzes, and makes decisions on first and second mortgage residential real estate loan products which align with the organization's overall strategy and within Langley and industry guidelines. The Underwriter ensures mortgage loans are saleable in the secondary market or meet Langley portfolio policy and guidelines. The Mortgage Loan Underwriter works in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, often involving shifting priorities and the work independently.
