We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Performance Manager.
The UK COO Performance and Delivery team are responsible for the performance agenda for UK COO, where we manage day-to-day delivery with multi-year strategic outcomes. The team provides everyday insights into UK COO performance, whilst challenging and executing initiatives which drives leaders to make decisions quickly and confidently. We are here to build a high-performance culture that delivers better outcomes for customers and colleagues.
The Performance Manager will support the Head of Performance and Delivery in creating robust delivery plans. They will also be responsible for the management of all scorecards from planning to tracking including all OKR’s, producing insightful analysis to drive decision and action, whilst also providing critical challenge where appropriate to hold business owners to account.
The role holder is integral to achieving performance management excellence.
This role will report to the Head of Performance and Delivery .

In this role you will:
- Partner with UK COO leadership team to translate strategic priorities into clear annual balanced scorecard goals (measures, targets, weightings and assessment criteria)
- Lead development of self‑proposed goals and metrics, shaping proposed weightings and ensuring measures are specific, measurable and aligned to Group frameworks alongside the centrally set goals.
- Agree and document assessment methodology for each self‑assessed goal (metric definitions, target ranges, scoring approach and evidence requirements).
- Manage the cycle end-to-end: refine goals, targets, weightings and assessment criteria in response to feedback/challenge.
- Ensure the UK COO has a line of sight to both centrally assessed and self‑assessed goals, including key milestones, dependencies, risks and required remediation actions.
- Put in place a robust tracking approach for self‑assessed goals (evidence sources, data owners, reporting templates) to ensure readiness for H1, Q3 and Q4 reviews.
- Coordinate the regular reviews with GCOO / UK CEO teams: consolidate evidence, draft a concise progress narrative, and support the UK COO in agreeing any course-corrections.
- Proactively identify and resolve issues that could undermine scorecard integrity (e.g., data gaps, metric ambiguity, target feasibility, unintended incentives), escalating early with options and recommendations.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- The role holder will ideally have proven expertise in a Performance Management role
- Excellent analytical and attention to detail skills
- Excellent orgainastional skills;
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to develop persuasive communications to internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience of prepartion and monitoring of Target and Pland for large scale functions would be preferred;
- Proactive, the ability to work on own initiative.
- Ability to build deep, strong and trusted relationships/networks is essential.
