As a Software Engineer III at JPMorganChase within the Asset Management Technology - Trading Systems Team at JPMorganChase, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.
We are the industry leader in providing Customized Managed Accounts Solutions(CMAS) where we offer Retail scale investing via our world class investment products developed by JP Morgan Asset Management. Our focus is on mass customization via several innovative avenues offering diverse products and tax smart optionality to our clients. Our business is set to grow given the state of our industry and we are looking to develop a firm lead amongst our peers.
Job responsibilities
Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages - Java and/or Python.
Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices
Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
Experience with CI/CD tooling — Enterprise CI/CD, and source control platforms such as Bitbucket/GitHub
Practical cloud native experience
Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools within the work environment (e.g., for coding, test creation, troubleshooting, or documentation) with demonstrated ability to critically evaluate, validate, and refine AI-generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations; ability to guide peers on safe and effective usage within team practices.

Experience in Site Reliability Engineering and/or DevOps
