It means having a competitive salary, a robust benefits package, and programs to support your work-life balance and well-being. It means being rewarded for investing in your community, celebrated for being your authentic self, and empowered to grow.
About the Role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Technology Director in technology as part of the Wealth & Investment Management Technology team. This candidate will lead the architecture, modernization, and execution of enterprise platforms supporting wealth and investment technology capabilities. In this role, you will own the technical vision and platform strategy, guide multiple engineering teams, and shape the future‑state architecture for mission‑critical wealth and investment platforms.
This role provides strategic leadership for engineering organizations by managing engineering managers and leads to deliver technology outcomes aligned with enterprise priorities. Drives platform strategy adoption through strong partnerships with business and technology stakeholders, guiding the development of actionable roadmaps and execution plans. Ensures excellence in software engineering practices, including craftsmanship, security, scalability, and resilience, while overseeing solutions delivered by internal and third-party teams. Owns financial management, capacity planning, and resource allocation to support complex initiatives, while establishing risk management frameworks and controls for critical decisions such as go/no-go, risk acceptance, and rollback execution.
This role fosters a high-performing culture focused on talent development, hiring, and retention, while promoting innovation and continuous improvement across engineering practices. Brings deep expertise in large-scale platform engineering and distributed systems, with the ability to integrate cross-functional deliverables and influence senior leaders. Additionally, serves as a command center leader during incidents and releases, translating technical challenges into clear business impact and decision options, ensuring executive stakeholders are informed and aligned to achieve measurable outcomes.
