Description
Who We Are
At Hawkers Asian Street Food, our purpose is simple: we spark adventure. Everything we do is driven by three mantras that define who we are and how we show up every day. We always care — for each and every guest as if they are our only guest, and for our team as family. We never compromise — paying attention to the details and maximizing the potential in every team member and every experience. And we be disruptive — challenging the status quo, refusing to succumb to industry norms, and continually raising the bar.
If you’re ready to bring that spirit to work every single day, we want you on our team.
Position Summary
The Service Manager serves as a front-line operations leader responsible for upholding the mission, vision, and values of Hawkers Asian Street Food in every aspect of the role. This position partners closely with the General Manager to drive sales performance, develop team members, and deliver an exceptional guest experience — all while maintaining the long-term profitability of the restaurant.
Requirements
Financial & Operations Management
Partner with the General Manager to meet or exceed monthly and annual sales, revenue, and profitability goals.
Uphold the financial integrity of P&L statements by following established systems for tracking expenses and revenues.
Ensure all revenues are properly accounted for and deposited into the appropriate company accounts.
Safeguard the integrity and functionality of all company assets — including funds, systems, and equipment — maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and usability.
Assist in completing weekly schedules, payroll, mid-period, and end-of-period (EOP) administrative tasks accurately and on time.
Lead shifts effectively, including end-of-day (EOD) procedures and banking, and train other leaders to do the same.
Team Leadership & Development
Train, develop, and motivate team members and shift leaders to consistently meet or exceed company standards.
Follow and enforce the training guide program; ensure team members achieve passing scores before being placed in position.
Partner with the General Manager to counsel, coach, and formally evaluate team members in a timely manner.
Actively participate in the recruiting, hiring, and onboarding process for new team members.
Address disciplinary matters quickly, thoughtfully, and in accordance with company policy.
Foster a positive, inclusive work environment that promotes high morale and team cohesion.
Guest Experience
Proactively engage with guests in the dining room to ensure a consistently excellent experience.
Respond to guest reviews in a timely and professional manner, upholding the brand's reputation.
Communicate effectively with team members and guests, providing positive reinforcement and promoting a welcoming restaurant atmosphere.
Handle guest accidents, injuries, and complaints in coordination with direct reports and the corporate office.
Communication & Compliance
Communicate restaurant objectives clearly and effectively in team meetings and as needed.
Maintain a safe, harassment-free work environment in compliance with OSHA and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
Successfully complete the Hawkers Leader-In-Training (LIT) program and maintain current safe food handler certifications.
Qualifications
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a service-oriented hospitality environment.
Working knowledge of accounting and financial management principles, including budgeting and revenue forecasting.
Strong oral, written, and presentation communication skills; proficiency with standard business computer applications.
Proven ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated passion for delivering outstanding service and developing high-performing teams.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Physical Requirements
Ability to work in a climate-controlled restaurant environment throughout a full shift.
Must be able to read and write in English to process paperwork and follow up on required actions.
Manual dexterity required for keyboarding and other repetitive tasks.
Must be able to frequently stand, walk, bend, squat, and reach above shoulder level.
It all started when four best friends with family roots in Malaysia, Hong Kong, Vietnam and exotic … Winter Haven, Florida, decided to bring the bold flavors of Asian street food to the streets of Orlando in 2011. More than a decade later, Hawkers Asian Street Food now spans multiple locations across the country serving up your next favorite dishes.
Our entire Hawkers family is made up of talented team members who each exemplify our mantra: Be Disruptive. Always Care. Never Compromise. We are dedicated teammates, motivated creators, and we wake up every day ready to take our guests on the adventure of a lifetime.
Sound like you? Then come join the fam! We welcome you with open arms. Whatever your passion, there’s a Hawkers career path waiting for you.
